Children and Families

sally hendersonSally has recently joined our team to serve in the area of Families and Children.  Sally has extensive experience in compiling and overseeing children’s programs, having worked in this area at other churches and as a Patoral Support Worker at two of our local primary schools.  Sally is passionate about supporting parents in our community, and helping the children of the church and community know how much God loves them and how good it is to be a part of His family.  Sunday Morning Godspace for Kids – operates during our morning service (from about 10.30-11.20) for children aged 3 to 12 and includes singing, stories, games and crafts.

 Creche – operates throughout our morning services for children up to 3 years of age.  The parents are supported by individuals from the church to release them to fully participate in the service.

 Kids Club –  Each Monday of school term  for primary aged children from our community.  The program runs from 3.30 -5pm and includes music, craft, stories and a light refreshments.                                                            


 Play Group – Each Wednesday morning of School Term a play group for pre-school children (including babies) and their carers occurs from 9.30 – 11.20am.  It includes good coffee and a clean and friendly atmosphere with a program of singing, crafts, stories open play and morning tea for the children (fruit provided by the carers).

 School Holiday Program – In many of the School Holidays we run a school holiday program for children from the church and community. Like Kids Alive it has craft, singing, games, stories and food but we also include special activities and sports for those who like to be a bit more active.

Parents in Partnership – Seminars and support for parenting- Parenting today is hard work.  Here at Grange Baptist we want to support parents in every way we can.  One way is through our variety of programs, another is by providing appropriate seminars and opportunities for parents to learn from and support one another.  Please use the contact us menu above to find out more about what is on offer at the moment

 Other – Family fun days, Minecraft lock ins, social gatherings for mums, occasions for dads to get together and support one another, Christmas parties and family nights are all events that we provide from time to time. If you would like to find out more please use the contact us menu above.
