Senior Pastor

Mark has been married to Robyn for 30 years.  They have 8 children including one with a disability and 3 foster children.  Mark is committed to knowing and loving God and others and helping the church do the same. His

preaching and leadership reflect the importance of allowing God’s Word to shape our lives and empowering others to reach their potential in God.  As Senior Pastor Mark’s primary task is to lead the Church and to equip, encourage and develop the whole congregation to be Christ’s followers and ambassadors wherever God has sent them.  He is also responsible for the Life Groups and our Sunday Worship.

 Preaching

and teaching – We at Grange Baptist believe God speaks to us and transforms us as His Spirit speaks to us through His Word.  The sermons each Sunday are a vital part of our gathering as His people and

Leadership development and support – Mark’s primary task is as outlined by Paul to the Church in Ephesus is “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, Eph 4:12-13
Through mentoring, modeling, training delegation and support the work of the Church is done by the people of the Church.

Where are we going – Our vision is to fulfil our Gospel mandate wadelaidebeach (Copy)hich is outlined in God’s Word.  What that looks like for us is shaped by who we and our community is like.   We believe that means helping each other grow as followers of Jesus while being engaged meaningfully

in our community (see community connections), and sharing with them the love of God while helping them understand how they can get to know Him.

We believe that as we are faithful in this, many will respond to Jesus and begin to be a part of his people.  This will necessarily result in numerical growth.  However we have no intention of becoming ‘big’, but instead by equipping and sending our people we will be regularly involved in planting and refreshing other churches, both locally and, God willing, overseas.
