Community Connections

We are committed to being a blessing to the Grange community, schools and those who live nearby.  We do this by focusing on 5 key areas: the local community, local schools, the marginalised, the people each of us have contact with in our day to day lives and through various agencies with whom we partner with in God’s work throughout the world.

 

 Local community – Many from the Grange Church live in the Grange community.  We believe God has called us to be a blessing to those who live near the Church and in our immediate community.  We do this through family fun days, supporting local events and running various ministries (see below).

 Cafe – EaRPP_9644 (Copy)ch Tuesday (of school terms) we run a lunch time cafe 12 – 1.30 to which many come for the good and affordable meal and the loving welcome they receive.  If you would like to book a table use the contact us menu above.

 

 Local Schools – We take particular interest in both Grange and Fulham Gardens Primary schools and are keen to support and partner with them as they serve the children and families of the community.  Our volunteers support the students (LAP and other in class support), the teachers (an appreciation morning tea each term), the provision of Christian sRPP_9612 (Copy)eminars (as appropriate and in conjunction with SU), connection with the CPSW, and in other ways.  If you would like to know more or be involved in this ministry, please use the contact us menu above.

Children’s programs  – Including a Monday afternoonb kids club throughout school terms (3.30-4.30 pm)  and a weekly play group on Wednesdays along with other children’s and youth activities.  For more information about this or any of our children’s ministries click here, or youth ministries click here

 

Exploring Christian Faith – Alpha, Christianity Explained and other courses are regularly offered for those who would like to know more about Christianity.  If you would like to find out more about how to follow Jesus and what it would mean for you please contact us via the contact us menu above.

Catalyst – this team of people from within the Church seek to encoRPP_9735 (Copy)urage us all to do what we can to care for the poor and marginalized of our community and beyond.  as part of our partnership with Baptist World aid (see below) we have a local group advocating for the poor.  If you would like to know more about our catylst group or join us please use the contact us menu above.

Seminars and Courses – Parenting, Marriage preparatSmall-Group-Photoion, Marriage enrichment, financial management, coping with grief and loss.  We provide opportunity to be supported in any of these areas and more.  For more information click here to email us

Baptist World Aid – partners with Baptists of Australia and other agencies to work with the poor and marginalised throughout the world.  For more information click here 

Global Interaction – partners with Baptists of Australia to share the good news of Jesus with 9 identified unreached people groups and a number of other countries in which there are historical links.  For more information click here 

Jonathon and Sarah Turland – as they serve God through African Hope, a school for African Refugees in Egypt.

Owen and Sarah Ames –  As they plant a Church through running a Cafe in Japan supported by OM.
